Sharlene Habermeyer

Sharlene Habermeyer, M.A., author of Good Music, Brighter Children
has spent the last 19 years researching and lecturing throughout the
United States on the effects of music in the brain development of young
children. She is a writer, speaker, and consultant, holds a masters
degree in education and has written information on infusing music into
an already established curriculum. Sharlene is a member of the National
Coalition of Music Educators (MENC), a board member of the South Bay
Community Concert Association and serves on the Teacher's Advisory Board

Palos Verdes Fine Arts Festival, the Cultural Unity Through the Arts

Peggy North-Jones
Peggy North-Jones is a family educational consultant
and child development specialist based in St. Louis, Missouri. She has
worked with children and families for 30 years. In addition, she is
a lecturer and consultant and has a business presenting seminars THIS

Born and raised in the New York area,
she received HER B.A. in Psychology from Carnegie-Mellon University
in Pittsburgh and has done graduate work at Washington University in
St. Louis. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Family and Marriage
Counseling at St. Louis University. As a national speaker and trainer,
Ms. North-Jones has given hundreds of presentations in the areas of
family life education, family wellness, time and stress management,
and general parenting issues.
She is the mother of two grown children, a delightfully serious and
goal-directed daughter who is a journalist in Washington, DC and a creative,

Dr. Tim Jordan
Dr. Tim Jordan is a Behavioral Pediatrician and national spokesperson
for children and families. He wears many hats including husband of 20
years and father of three children ages 13, 17 and 18.
Dr. Tim
Jordan completed a Behavioral Pediatric Fellowship at Harvard Medical
School studying under Dr. T Berry Brazelton in 1986 and was a member
of the Brazelton Seminar series as a featured speaker for many years.
He has made numerous appearances on local and national radio and TV
and has his own parenting call-in radio show called Families First!
on talk radio 97.1 FM on Sunday afternoons 12-2 p.m. CST broadcasting
from St. Louis, Missouri. The show has now become syndicated and new
cities are being added weekly.
On the
professional side, Tim counsels children and teens for issues ranging
from sleep problems, biting at preschool, self esteem concerns, to parent-teenager
conflicts. He enjoys educating parents about developmental stages and
behavioral concerns of all ages.
Dr. Jordan
and his wife, Anne, own a seminar company called, " Children &
Families, Inc." from which they operate self-esteem building summer
camps for children and teenagers, parenting and couple's classes, and
retreats for children and teenagers. Dr. Jordan is also an author of
three books and an audiotape series for parents and people who work
with children and teenagers.
